So on Valentine’s day, R chose @bonedaddies for our lunch. 🍲🍲🍲
You know how places have heat ratings on a menu but you still don’t really know how hot it’ll be so you think you know better and order something you probably shouldn’t, rather than being clever and asking someone the heat level?
🌶
That was me with this bowl of tofu curry ramen… I had tears coming from my eyes, my nose was running, at one point I choked a little. I was using tissues to try soak up some of the chilli oil from the top of my bowl and downed a LOT of water. Towards the end, it was like the heat was zapping away my energy and I was just a mess of a girl at the table.
😅😂
Possibly not looking my finest for a Valentine’s meal!
But I wanted to post the meal here because I can tell that if I’d only asked them to exclude the chilli oil then the mushroom broth was actually delicious, the portion size was generous and I think I’d have loved it.
.
Pro tip: if you can’t handle spice make sure you make people aware!! 🌱[Vegan] although R’s dish was their special meaty Katsu curry at the back ( which is why you can’t see much of it in the pic 😛 . More pics in my stories!) They have a few options that come with the mushroom broth and can be Veganised.
