Yay or Nay to pink food? 💕💕💕

Last week a friend and I FINALLY made our way over to @elnlondonbrompton Rd to see what all the fuss is about and so I can finally say ‘ Instagram made me do it’ 🤣 because El&n really is the epitome of an Instagrammable brunch in London.

You’ve probably seen many images of people posing against their famous pink floral/love heart walls and the various ‘instagrammable’ decor. But you know me, I’m all about the food and wanted to put this ‘instagrammable’ location to the test.
I actually really struggled to choose what to order between the acai bowls, breakfast dishes and artisan breads. The menu is VERY vegetarian-friendly w/ a few Vegan options. ( best to check online first, as their different locations have differing menus).
Oddly, my friend and I were both given different menus too. They looked the same on the outside but an entire page was different between our two menus. The pasta dish I ended up ordering wasn’t actually on my menu at all. So, I’m not sure if that was an odd oversight or somehow I’d been given a menu from one of their branches. Who knows… Wasn’t a massive issue but just thought it’s worth noting. ( Including some menu page images below!).
What I Ordered from El&n Cafe, Brompton Road:
🤤 Pink Ribbon Pasta ( w/ tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, parsley & basil)
👍 With 34 degree weather outside, I knew I wanted something quite light and refreshing so this cold pasta dish sounded perfect and I really enjoyed it! Not too heavy, a delicious mix of tomatoes and a good portion size!
💷 £9.50 ( or + £1.5 for feta cheese)

🤤 Rose Macaron ( w/ a chocolate ganache & raspberry compote filling)
👍 You really can’t go wrong with a giant macaron! Absolutely delicious! in fact, I found the generous amount of ganache filling to be almost a bit too much considering how rich it is. Which I think is a positive for its price!

🤤 Banana & Strawberry Smoothie
👍 Coming in from the heatwave outside, I couldn’t even imagine trying one of El&n’s signature rainbow latte’s and instead went for a classic smoothie. No regrets here! The smoothie was deliciously sweet and the perfect portion size! Although above my usual budget ( And that’s being generous since I usually get free tap water 😂)

Overall service was quite slow ( Okay, really slow) – If you’re wanting to pop in for a quick bite, this may not be the place for you unless you hunt staff down. However, if you’re like me and just natter away with friends endlessly then 👍.
