YAY or NAY to Kunefe? 👌

Kunefe is one of my all-time favourite desserts from my childhood! I don’t know who and why someone thought cheese and syrup and shredded phyllo pastry would work together but it. Just. Does!! 🤤🤤 This warm, syrupy dessert contrasts perfectly with the savoury cheese filling and is extremely more-ish.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t well when I tried this bad boy at @kibele.london a couple of weeks ago when my friends took me out for a lovely birthday meal! Genuinely can’t wait to go back so I can actually eat more than a few bites!

Kibele serves a wonderful mix of traditional and modern Turkish cuisine. There aren’t a massive amount of vegetarian options but there’s plenty of mezze to choose from and a few mains 🙂 In fact, for my ‘main’ I decided to get the mixed mezze starter. This came with a few dips ( image below). However, the platter definitely needed more than just the one ‘chip’ for dipping as our tables bread had run out and no extra was provided with the platter.
